The Illustrator
"Art is the representation of that which only the mind can imagine".
Mark Ward is a native Kansas living in and around Andover all his life. During his youth he spent summers working on his Grandfather's farm just east of Eureka, Kansas. It was there that his Grandfather taught him the value of hard work and respect of the land. Many of his paintings reflect the history of the past in his old barns, old sheds and wildlife. He wants the viewer to feel the history of the past through his paintings by transforming a mental image into a visual that creates a feeling or mood. Mark has won numerous awards in various local art competitions and has attended many art classes/workshops from well known artists to continue to develop his passion for painting. His work is in many private and corporate collections throughout the United States. Mark is a member of the Kansas Artist Guild and Kansas Water Color Society.
